Foreign Ministry: The Golan will remain Syrian Arab land and the Israeli occupation will be driven from it sooner or later

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the occupied Golan has been and will always remain a Syrian Arab land and the Israeli occupation will be driven away from it sooner or later.

Commenting on the statement of the people in the Golan on the 41st anniversary of their strike, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a tweet today: “41 years have passed since the general strike of our people in the occupied Syrian Golan against the false annexation decision. The Golan will remain a Syrian Arab land, and the Israeli occupation will be driven away from it, sooner or later”.

The people of the Golan affirmed, in a statement on the 41st anniversary of their comprehensive strike, their adherence to their Syrian Arab identity, their rejection of the Israeli occupation and the false “annexation decision” issued on December 14, 1981, stressing the continuation of their struggle and resistance against the occupation by all means until the liberation of the Golan and its return to the homeland.

Our people’s commemoration of the occasion has been limited to decorating the squares of the villages of the Golan with the flag of the homeland, and gathering in the squares of Majdal Shams and Baqatha as an expression of sadness and pain for what has happened to the homeland as a result of the earthquake, as all festive activities that were held annually on this day have been canceled due to the disaster.
