Peskov: Russia will continue to provide assistance to the Earthquake Victims in Syria

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday stated that Russia will continue to provide assistance to Syria after the earthquake that struck the country last Monday.

“We are in constant contact with the Syrian government. Russia is making great efforts to provide assistance to the victims of this devastating earthquake in Syria,” Sputnik quoted Peskov as telling journalists in reply to a question on whether Moscow was taking measures regarding the situation in Syria.

It is to be noted that Russia has provided medical and humanitarian assistance to those affected by the earthquake, and the Russian teams have participated in rescue operations for those trapped under the rubble.
