Citizens in Quneitra governorate send a humanitarian convey to the quake-affected areas in Aleppo and Lattakia

Quneitra , (ST) – This morning, the Quneitra governorate sent a relief convoy to the people affected by the earthqauke in the governorates of Aleppo and Lattakia, including six trucks.

The governor of Quneitra, Eng. Moataz Jamran Abu Al-Nasr, stated that the aid comes within the framework of the emergency response plan  to face the repercussions of the earthquake that struck a number of governorates.

“The initiative is part of the governmental and civil society efforts in cooperation with local community, popular, religious and youth parties and charities”, he added.

Eng. Abu Al-Nasr pointed out that the aid convoy will head three of its trucks to Aleppo governorate and the same to Lattakia. He added that the convey includes foodstuffs, clothes, blankets, mattresses, drinking water and other materials needed for citizens in temporary shelters. He stressed continuous providing of humanitarian aid by the people of Quneitra to support their brothers in the affected areas.
