Addressing the doctors and cadres working in the hospital, President al-Assad said: “We are proud of the national cadres in all crises, and in the earthquake crisis we witnessed many heroic deeds and the doctors who work in the shadows are part of these heroics.”
President al-Assad was also briefed on the ongoing rescue operations and removal of rubble and destruction in the al-Masharqa neighborhood in Aleppo.
President al-Assad told the media at one of the sites of removing the rubble and recovering the injured in the city of Aleppo: “It is said that the West has given priority to politics over the humanitarian situation. Humanity does not exist in the West, for there to be politicization of the situation is the natural thing, as for human feeling, it does not exist, neither now nor in the past, neither during modern colonialism nor after it nor before it. For over 600 years, colonialism has been based on killing, stealing and plundering peoples.
