Beirut (ST): Representatives of the Association of Voluntary Non-Governmental Organizations in Lebanon expressed their solidarity and stand by Syria in facing the repercussions of the earthquake that it was subjected to, affirming their rejection of double standards and discrimination between the victims.
The coordinator of the gathering, Dr. Kamel Muhanna, said in a statement issued by the meeting of the representatives of the gathering at Amel House for Human Rights last night, “The disaster that befell areas already suffering from the effects of the war in Syria in light of the economic and climatic conditions constitutes a global humanitarian crisis that requires international intervention and a large-scale Arab action at the popular and governmental levels, especially since hundreds of people are still under the rubble, and humanitarian institutions in Lebanon and around the world should not stand idly by in the face of this Syrian catastrophe.
