Today, an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck Papua Province in eastern Indonesia.
The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics stated that the tremor, which occurred at a depth of ten kilometers, was monitored one kilometer southwest of Jayapura city, the provincial capital.
There was no immediate information of injuries, damages, or tsunami warnings because of the tremor.
