European Parliamentarian: The West is politicizing humanitarian disasters, including the earthquake in Syria
On February 9th, Member of the European Parliament, head of the Slovak Republic Party, Milan Ohrek, criticized the West’s politicization of humanitarian disasters.
He pointed to the double standards it adopts regarding the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey.
He said on his Facebook account: “Turkey is not the only one that needs help now due to the repercussions of the earthquake, but Syria too.”
He called for leaving politics aside, and giving priority to the human language over everything else.
He added that Syria suffers greatly as a result of the meaningless Western sanctions that are imposed on it only because it does not want to accept the occupation and Western hegemony.
