The National Union of Syrian Students appeals to all Organizations and Unions to end the siege and coercive measures imposed on Syria
Damascus (ST): The National Union of Syrian Students appealed to all friendly Arab and foreign unions, organizations, associations, bodies and institutions to move quickly and urgently to put pressure on governments, for an immediate end to the siege and unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria and its people 12 years ago.
In a statement, the Union called for working to provide immediate and urgent assistance to Syria and its people to alleviate the suffering and the effects of the earthquake and the siege imposed on Syria, to support humanitarian cases, to differentiate between them and the political positions of governments, and to respond to the appeals of Syrian students and communities in terms of facilitating the arrival of cash transfers in favor of those affected by the earthquake.
The Union stated that, despite the siege and unfair sanctions against Syria and its people, the Syrian government and all federations, unions and civil society organizations, from the first moments of the devastating disaster, offered all available material, human and logistical capabilities in order to help and rescue citizens, treat the wounded and the injured, and provide the afflicted families with adequate housing, in addition to all other assistance such as food, clothing and other things.
