The Algerian and Egyptian Presidents extend their condolences to President Al-Assad and the Syrian people

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during a telephone conversation with President Bashar Al-Assad this afternoon, offered his sincere condolences to his Excellency and to the Syrian people for the victims of the earthquake that hit Syria, stressing Algeria’s solidarity and standing with Syria and its full readiness to continue to provide every effort that would mitigate the severity of this painful tragedy and its effects.
President Al-Assad thanked the Algerian government and people for sending civil protection teams to participate in search and rescue operations, and humanitarian aid planes, to contribute to providing relief to the people of the affected areas.
President al-Assad also received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in which he affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with Syria and its brotherly people, and its keenness to provide aid to help the Syrian people overcome this painful calamity.
President al-Sisi expressed his sincere condolences over the hundreds of victims, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
For his part, President Al-Assad thanked the Arab Republic of Egypt for this position, which expresses the brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
