President Al-Assad receives condolences from presidents of Russia and UAE on victims of the deadly earthquake
President Al-Assad on Monday received condolences from President Vladimir Putin of Russia on the victims of the destructive earthquake that hit Syria this morning.
President Putin expressed his country’s willingness to provide necessary assistance to alleviate the repercussions of the disaster.
“I would like to extend my sincere condolences over the tragic consequences of the earthquake that hit the northern regions of Syria and we share sorrow and pain with those who lost their relatives and loved ones, Putin said in a cable of condolences to President Al-Assad published on the Kremlin website.
The Russian President wished speedy recovery to the injured, stressing his country’s readiness to provide necessary assistance in the face of this disaster.
In addition, President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressed the solidarity of the UAE leadership and people with Syria over the human and material losses resulted from the devastating earthquake.
During a phone call with President Al Assad, the UAE President offered his deepest condolences over hundred of victims, stressing that his country is ready to help the Syrian people to overcome the impacts of this disaster.
President Al-Assad also received a phone call from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
King Hamad expressed his deepest condolences to President Al-Assad and to the Syrian people over the victims of the earthquake, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
He voiced solidarity with the Syrian people and government, stressing the kingdom’s readiness to support the Syrian government’s efforts to face the repurcussions of this catastrophe.
