Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf passes away

Today, the Pakistani Army announced the death of the former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf at the age of 97, in a hospital in Dubai, after a long struggle with illness.

AFP reported, citing the Pakistani army’s media office, that the senior military leaders express their deepest condolences on the death of General Perves Musharraf.

It is to be noted that the late president took power in 1999 and during his rule, which lasted for 7 years, he oversaw a period of economic growth and he survived 3 assassination attempts.
