Russian aid distributed in Irbin town in Damascus countryside  

The Russian Coordination Center in Syria has distributed a number of food parcels and stationary aid in the “Al-Ahliya” private school, which is affiliated to the Patriarchate of Antioch and All East for the Greek Orthodox, and in St. George’s Church in Irbin in the countryside of Damascus.

In a statement to reporters, Deputy Head of the Russian Coordination Center in Syria Oleg Egorov hailed the Syrian-Russian coordination and the fruitful cooperation with the Syrian government parties to reopen the St. George’s Church in Irbin, stressing that Russia will continue to provide aid to the Syrian people to support them in the light of the current difficult circumstances resulted from the war.

For his part, Father Danial Ni’meh, the parish priest of St. George’s Church in Irbin, thanked Russia for providing aid as a moral and material support for the Syrian children and the citizens, pointing out that the city passed through difficult circumstances due to terrorism.
