With the participation of Syria, the International Conference on Education Sciences held

Damascus (ST): With the virtual participation of Syria, the 18th session of the International Conference on Education Sciences 2023 was held in the Cuban capital, Havana.

In a speech during the conference, the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, referred to the Syrian experience in continuing the educational process in all forms within schools and virtually despite the war, referring to the continuous work to overcome difficulties and address problems to provide education for all inside and outside Syria.

Minister Tabbaa said: “The Corona pandemic posed a global threat to education, and it was preceded in Syria by a greater challenge represented in the dangerous terrorist war that destroyed more than eight thousand schools, which required the Syrian government to use technological development to deliver education to millions of children and youth who were deprived of it. He indicated that five free public governmental electronic educational platforms have been established that offer all educational curricula from early childhood to pre-university general education and all the way to vocational education, in addition to the opening of sixteen private virtual schools that provide advanced virtual education to all students who wish inside and outside Syria.

The Minister of Education stated that the appropriate digital content for distance education has been secured, in addition to working on using artificial intelligence to direct education according to the intelligence and tendencies of the child, which allows building the knowledge system of students according to their professional needs and requirements.
