Syria and Paraguay discuss ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation

The Paraguayan-Syrian Friendship Committee in the People’s Assembly discussed on Wednesday with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Paraguay in Damascus, Muhammad Qattan, ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the two friendly countries, in a way that serves the common interest of their people.

Chairman and members of the committee stressed the importance of working to strengthen and develop parliamentary relations, by intensifying joint meetings between representatives of the two countries, in a way that achieves mutual benefit and exchange of experiences at all levels. They appreciate the positions of Latin American countries that are understanding and supportive of just Arab causes.

For his part, Qattan underlined the importance of the great efforts exerted in supporting parliamentary relations between the two countries and following them up through the Friendship Committees. He confirmed on working to convey the true picture of Syria to the peoples of Latin America and to refute the lies that the Western media tried to fabricate through its suspicious means
