Syrian Drama Producers Forum kicks off

Information Minister Boutros Al-Hallaq has called on Syrian drama producers to focus on valuable and constructive content that provides a better image of Syria.

He made the remarks during the openjng ceremony of the Syrian Drama Producers Forum which kicked off on Wednesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus.

He said that the Ministry of Information has presented 14 drama series and it currently has 34 drama scripts ready for production, adding that this indicates development and affirms that drama production is provided with necessary facilitations despite the current difficult circumstances.

The ministry seeks at this stage to creat real drama and it is concerned in supporting drama production and licensing new TV channels, Al-Hallaq pointed out.

Minister of Industry Ziyad Subhi Sabbagh attended the forum, which was organized by the Cinema and TV Industry Committee.

“We are proud of our dramatic production which carries a message to the world and highlights the real situation in our country in a civilized way,” Minister Sabbagh said.

“This production also provides messages at home and abroad through production companies and workers in the field of drama,” he added.
