Arming Kiev regime with aircrafts leads to escalation, says Zakharova

Moscow, (ST) – Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova mocked the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron about arming the Kiev regime with aircrafts. She stressed that such a measure increases Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s appetite for war, according to Ria Novosti.

“This is silly. Is the French President really confident that if heavy weapons are provided, this will not lead to an escalation of the situation? Such statements only serve increasing the unbridled appetite of the Zelensky regime for war,” Zakharova said commenting on Macron’s statements about not ruling out the possibility of delivering warplanes to Ukraine and on the Frensh Defense Minister Sebastien Licorne’s statement that there are no prohibitions for Paris on the issue of possible shipments of combat aircrafts to Ukraine.

She asked sarcastically: Will those planes throw sweets and biscuits, stressing that Western weapons are used by Kiev to bomb hospitals and kill civilians.
