Terrorist attack targets police patrol in Daraa countryside

Daraa,(ST) –  Six members of the Internal Security Forces were wounded on Wednesday as a result of a terrorist attack with two explosive devices that targeted their patrol on the Muzayrib Al-Yadudah road in Daraa countryside.

The Ministry of the Interior stated in a statement: that while members of the Internal Security Forces were carrying out their tasks in maintaining security and order in Daraa Governorate, terrorists targeted with two explosive devices a police patrol on the Muzayrib al-Yadudah road in Daraa countryside.

The ministry added that the terrorist attack resulted in the injury of six policemen, two of them were seriously injured, while patrols from various police units in Daraa governorate rushed immediately to the scene and helped transfer the wounded to several hospitals.

The ministry’s statement indicated that investigations are underway to identify the terrorists and take legal action against them.

15 members of the Internal Security Forces were injured last Monday when terrorists targeted the bus that was carrying them with an explosive device on the Damascus-Daraa main road.
