35 Arab activists, intellectuals and academics join the International Arab popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria

On January 30th, the International Arab popular campaign to lift the siege on Syria announced that 35 Arab activists, intellectuals and academics have joined the campaign.

The campaign considered that the honorable people of the nation and the free people of the world are aware of the multiple dangers that this unjust American blockade poses to the Syrian people.

Campaign coordinator Majdi Al-Maasarawi said in a statement: “The campaign is preparing a detailed study on the effects of this illegal and inhuman blockade on Syria.”
He said that whoever stands behind this blockade or participates in its implementation deserves international trial for committing a war crime and crimes against humanity.
He underlined that the campaign to lift the siege on Syria is a continuation of previous campaigns to lift the siege on the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Yemen and every Arab country under siege, and it integrates with a global campaign against the siege on the peoples of the world who reject American tyranny.
