The Russian Embassy in Washington: The absurdity of the US sanctions against Russia has become clear

Washington (ST): The Russian Embassy in the United States confirmed that the absurdity of US sanctions against Russia is becoming more and more clear with each new package.

TASS news agency quoted the embassy as saying in a statement: “The Americans continue to make their illegitimate threats of sanctions, and yesterday a new set of restrictions against Russia was announced,” adding: “With each new set of economic barriers, their ineffectiveness and absurdity becomes more and more evident.”

Yesterday, the US Treasury Department announced the imposition of additional sanctions against a number of Russian and military officials, companies and institutions linked to the Russian military-industrial complex, and other persons and entities.
