Charnogorsky: Unilateral Western measures increase the suffering of the Syrian people

On January 26th, former Slovak Prime Minister Jan Czarnogorski confirmed that the continuation of Western countries, led by the United States, in imposing unilateral coercive measures on Syria has increased the suffering of its people.

“The United States is punishing Syria, even though it is the only country that is truly combating terrorism,” Charnogorsky said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Prague.

Charnogorsky pointed out that the United States currently represents the country that is violating international law in the largest way in the world.

He added that the United States is occupying part of the Syrian lands and stealing oil from them, which represents a flagrant violation of the international law.
