Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The occupation continues its violations against the Palestinian prisoners

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned that the Israeli occupation continues to intensify pressure on Palestinian prisoners in its detention centers.

“It is ignoring all relevant international treaties and coventions”, it added.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry condemned the campaigns of repression and abuse practiced by the occupation authorities against the prisoners. It also condemned the continuation of the policy of solitary confinement which aims at breaking the detainees’ will and steadfastness.

The Ministry called on the international community and the competent international organizations to assume their legal and moral responsibilities towards the prisoners and their rights, and to put an end to the crimes they are exposed to at the hands of the Israeli jail authorities in accordance with the Geneva Conventions.
