Occupied Al-Quds, (ST)- The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday stormed into the archaeological area in the town of Sebastia, north of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Muhammad Azem, The mayor of Sebastia, told WAFA News Agency that the occupation forces stormed into the archaeological area in the town and reviewed files and maps.
He indicated that these raids have become almost daily amid fears of implementing plans to seize the area which constitutes a violation of international laws.
Israeli occupation forces detain 17 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank
In another development, the Israeli occupation forces detained 17 Palestinians in the West Bank.
The occupation forces stormed into several neighborhoods in Jenin, Balata refugee camp, Deir Sharaf town in Nablus, the towns of Akkaba and Qafin in Tulkarm, Tammon in Tubas, Jifna in Ramallah and Fasayel in Ariha (Jericho) and detained 17 Palestinians, according to Palestinian media outlets.
Yesterday, the occupation forces also detained 24 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
