Fattouh warns of the consequences of continuing the occupation plan against the Palestinians and their land in the village of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar

On January 22nd, the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, warned of the consequences of the continuation of the Israeli occupation plan against the Palestinians and their land in the village of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, east of occupied Jerusalem.

He  called on the international community to shoulder its moral and legal responsibilities through urgent intervention and pressure on the occupation to stop its violations and continuous crimes.

Fattouh said in a statement: “The occupation’s brutal practices against the Palestinian territories, from bulldozing and seizing lands in the town of Qalandia, all the way to the town of Refat, and the land of Al-Hamra in Silwan, which is the southern gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the seizure of lands and real estate of the Orthodox Church constitute a flagrant challenge.”

Fattouh stressed that the occupation plans against the village of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar fall within the framework of its attempts to isolate occupied Jerusalem, divide the West Bank and establish more settlements, thus giving the settlers more land – no Palestinian will even be allowed to pass through them, pointing out that these practices are added to the crimes of ethnic cleansing that it is carrying out.
