On January 22nd, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi affirmed that the plot against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard is condemned and will end in failure like its predecessors.
He said that the European Parliament’s action against it is a reaction to the people’s awareness, and its thwarting of the recent plot that aimed to stir up unrest in the country.
During his speech today before the Iranian Islamic Shura Council, Raisi pointed out that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard deals decisively with terrorism, and that everyone recognizes this.
For his part, the Speaker of Iran’s Islamic Shura Council, Muhammad Baqer Qalibaf, said: “If any measures are taken against the Revolutionary Guards, we will consider the armies of European countries as terrorist groups.”
Qalibaf indicated that immediate and decisive measures will be taken in response to any action regarding the inclusion of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the list of terrorist groups or the imposition of sanctions on them.
