The Culture Ministry recently held a symposium titled “The French Role in War against Syria” to provide information and reveal some facts about France’s blatant violations of the UN Charter through its support for terrorists in Syria and intervention in the Syrian internal affairs
Syrian researchers, lawyers and writers, who took part in the event stressed that the French anti-Syria role has been evident from the very beginning of the crisis in Syria.
Nidal al-Saleh, Deputy Culture Minister criticized the policy France has been adopting towards Syria. He pointed out that when France is mentioned the Syrians remember French philosophers and thinkers like Jean Jacques Rousseau, Sartre and Louis Aragon not France’s Holland, Fabius or Sarkozy, who contributed nothing to history.
Aisar Midani, President of the NOSSTIA Trustees Council, said that the Symposium aimed at clarifying the French terrorist role in the heinous war being waged against Syria.
“France employs all its efforts to wage this mad war against Syria in coordination with Turkey and Qatar, to support the so-called Syrian opposition and to arm and send terrorists to Syria,” Midani added pointing out that France has backed the “Moslem Brotherhood” to be its new force or tool in the Middle East aiming to achieve the French colonialist schemes.
On the role of the French media, Midani said it was an inciting role, through inviting people for dialogue sessions to convince them that the so-called Syrian opposition abroad is the representative of the Syrian people. The media in France launched anti-Syria campaigns in the Arab World Institute and in Paris municipality.
She pointed out that many French officials had taught the individuals they recruited for the war on Syria how to incite people, how to enter cities from rural areas and how to fabricate photos and videos.
The NOSSTIA official also said that France have instigated international organizations against Syria, violated the UN Charter, continuously sought to toughen the Western sanctions on the Syrian people and worked hard to prevent the Syrian media from reporting facts to the entire world.
Midani pointed out that in France there are 23 anti-imperialism parties and organizations which support the Syrian people and army in their defense of their sovereignty. They condemn the French media’s lies, the NATO countries’ imperialist intervention and the West’s support for terrorism in the Middle East and reject any kind of interference in the Syrian affairs.
For his part Lawyer Bassam Sabbagh criticized the French government’s lies concerning human rights and democracy in France itself.
He affirmed that the institutions in France and the EU played a major part in the wars on Syria.
“The European Union blatantly has shown hostility to Syria through the sanctions it imposed on the country which directly affected the living of the Syrian people,” al-Sabbagh said.
Adnan Azzam, also a lawyer, asserted the need to use all military, security and economic potentials to counterattack the terrorist war France and the West are waging against Syria. He added that most of the French people know nothing about the foreign policy of their country and have no influence in decision- making, so they should be more aware of the behavior of their governments.
Researcher and political analyst Radwan Razzak said in a statement to the local press that the French colonialism had been keen to create sedition in the societies of the Levant and disseminated wrong concepts about religion, thereby creating a nursery for the terrorism hitting the region today.
