A three-day workshop was launched on Monday at the Youth Empowerment Center in Damascus with the aim of enhancing the basic skills of children.
The workshop was launched by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Baath Vanguards Organization (BVO) under the title “Kid Entrepreneurship”. It aims at helping children between 6 and 12 years of age to specify their work options at an early stage, to explore the vocations in their society and to benefit from the experiences of those running the job market. It also aims at encouraging practical training in all fields so that children can identify their path of knowledge and profession.
According to Assistant Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Mohammad Firas Al-Nabhan, the workshop targets 25 children from the Baath vanguards pioneers in Damascus with the aim of consolidating their vocational action, pointing out that the event comes within the framework of a partnership agreement signed with the BVO.
He added that several activities will be carried out to explore the talents of the children and direct them in the right way.
For her part, Head of the Culture and Foreign Relations Department at the BVO Ni’ma Shaddoud said that training children on entrepreneurship in future is very important and necessary to enhance their talents and release their creative ideas.
