Israeli occupation escalates its aggression against the Palestinian people

13 martyrs, including three children, are the death toll of Palestinian martyrs in the West Bank since the beginning of this year, seven of whom died in the city of Jenin in a systematic escalation from the Israeli occupation. The Israeli escalation  aims to break the will of the resistance and impose new facts on the ground entitled displacement and annexation of Palestinian land. The international community is still silent, unable to provide protection for the Palestinians, as a result of the US administration’s support for the occupation.

Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Wasel Abu Youssef, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter that the killings, displacement and settlement intensification are a prelude to a comprehensive aggression, which aims primarily to complete the process of annexing 60 percent of the West Bank. He stressed that the occupation’s crimes will only increase the Palestinian people’s determination to continue the path of struggle and resistance, to regain their full legitimate rights and foil the occupation’s plans aimed at annihilating the Palestinian cause.

Member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Maryam Abu Daqqa, confirmed that the occupation escalated its attacks on Jenin, because it constitutes a fortress of resistance and a model for the Palestinian people’s adherence to and defense of their rights. That is why it commits successive massacres in the city in a failed attempt to discourage the Palestinians from resistance. She indicated that what is happening in it and in the rest of the West Bank, confirms the racism and criminality of the occupation, which requires continuing to respond to that by continuing the resistance in all its forms.

Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Al-Barghouthi, noted that there are new martyrs and wounded every day as a result of the occupation bullets in Jenin. He pointed out that the occupation’s focus on the city aims to undermine the will of the resistance, of which Jenin is an icon.

Al-Barghouthi affirmed that the Palestinian people and its resistance forces will not remain silent about the criminality of the occupier and will continue to confront its attacks by intensifying the implementation of heroic operations. He asserted that the new uprising led by the Palestinians against the occupation is escalating despite the brutality of its crimes, so there is no solution except through resistance and continuous struggle.

For his part, spokesman for the Palestinian Jihad Movement, Daoud Shehab, clarified that resistance is the only way to repel this aggression in light of the escalation of the barbaric Israeli practices.
