Egyptian politician: Those who keep silent over the continuity of the blockade on Syria are partners in the crime
Member of the Egyptian Council of Senators, Chairman of the Board of “Al-Osbou’” Newspaper, Mahmoud Bakri, has renewed his support for the Syrian people in the confrontation of the unfair blockade and the coercive economic measures imposed on them.
Bakri said in a statement within the framework of the Arab international campaign to lift the blockade imposed on Syria that “over the past 12 years, the brotherly people of Syria have been facing a global war, international conspiracies and systematic crimes by foreign-backed terrorism that all targeted Syria militarily, economically and politically with the aim of stealing the country’s national wealth and destroying its infrastructure, institutions, schools and universities.”
The Egyptian senator reiterated his complete rejection of all the justifications brought for continuing the imposition of the blockade on Syria, warning that the repercussions of such dangerous conspiracies will not only affect Syria, but the entire Arab nation.
He affirmed that those who keep silent over the suffering of the Syrian people are partners in the crime that targets Syria and the Arab nation. He called for adopting a unified Arab stance that aims at restoring Syria’s national resources which are being stolen by the US occupation and its agents in the region.
