A Palestinian martyred, 19 others detained in the West Bank

On January 12th, a Palestinian was martyred and 19 others were detained during the Israeli occupation forces’ raids on separate areas in the West Bank.

“Samir Aslan, 41, was killed by an Israeli bullet that penetrated his chest, during the occupation forces’ raid on Qalandia camp, north of the occupied Al-Quds”, WAFA news agency quoted the Palestinian Ministry of Health as saying.

The Israeli occupation forces also detained 15 Palestinians from the camp, including five released prisoners.

The occupation forces raided several neighborhoods in Qalqilya and Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem and detained four Palestinians.

In addition, the national forces announced a comprehensive strike today in Qalandia camp, to mourn the martyr Aslan and denounce the occupation’s continuing crimes against the Palestinian people.

The martyr Aslan is the third Palestinian who was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces during the past 24 hours. Earlier, two young Palestinians: Sanad Samamra (19 years), south of Al-Khalil (Hebron), and Ahmed Abu Junaid (21 years), from Balata camp, east of Nablus, were martyred, which raises the number of the Palestinian martyrs since the beginning of this year to seven, including three children.

Seven Palestinians wounded by Israeli forces’ bullets during their raid on Nablus

In another development, seven Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli occupation forces’ bullets after they stormed into the city of Nablus in the West Bank.

Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces stormed the city in large numbers, and surrounded a house in Al-Yasmina neighborhood in the Old City, and fired bullets and poison gas bombs on the Palestinians, which led to the injury of seven of them, including a journalist.
