Friends of Syria
Friend in need is a friend indeed. Yesterday’s meeting of Syria’s friends proved but the opposite; 10 foreign ministers assembled themselves, thanks to the Saudi petrodollars and oil interests, along with their puppets, the representatives of the Syrian People! Indeed, it was a farce, comic show, call it what you like, but not a meeting for friends of Syria.
What has united the attendees was their unjustified hatred for the Syrians, their unjustified blind support to al-Qaeda affiliates and their involvement in the shedding of the Syrian blood. What was also common among the anti-Syrians participants was reflected through their unbalanced statements. Almost all of them did contradict themselves through their statements , putting the cart before the horse; they spoke as if they were indeed the legitimate representatives of more than 23 million Syrians, the majority of them do have only one legitimate government and leadership.
Day-dreamingly the participants talk about Syria as if they were the landlords of this cradle of civilization! The Syrians across history have never been enslaved by any other country; how when it comes to the 21st century, where we regard ourselves as the true messengers of peace, tolerance and amity, as well as the melting point of every human civilization, religion and invention.
Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, the US Secretary of State, Kerry’s declaration regarding the Saudis ”disappointed that the [Syria] strike didn’t take place,” proves that the Saudis themselves more than others are responsible for the ongoing crisis in Syria.
However, the Syrians alone can speak for themselves and about their own domestic issues ;while others, persona non grata, should shut up. The Syrians alone are eligible to define and make legitimacy or illegitimacy; they alone can give a role to their democratically elected leadership. Ahmad al-Jarba, the prefabricated chairman of the so-called Syrian National Coalition, is the illegitimate son of treason, wahabism and Saudi petrodollars.
Al-Jarba’s No’s yesterday are indeed comic, foolish and reckless; such a Saudi has no place in the secular Syria of today. Personally speaking, I hope Geneva 2 isn’t to be convened as not to give Al-Jarba-like some legitimacy. The majority of the Syrians are indeed determined to pursue their fight as to rid not only Syria but the entire region for every terrorist.
