Civil society Initiative to Light up streets in Samea village in Sweida province by solar-powered panels

Sweida, (ST) – The civil society in Samea village in Sweida western countryside carried out an initiative to light up the streets with solar energy, with the aim of providing decent services to citizens there.

Head of Samea Charitable Fund Committee, who is in charge of completing the project, Bassam Hussein al-Youssef, said that the initiative, which is being carried out with the support of Syrian expatriates and residents of the village, included the installation of 52 devices with their bases on the existing electric power poles.

For his part, the head of the Samea Municipality Council Tali’ Abdel Mawla Nasr pointed oput that such an important initiative aim at confirming the state of cooperation among members of the society, finding solutions to the problems facing them in the light of electric power cuts and achieve benefits that serve citizens’ interest.

The civil society in the village, during the last period, has completed carrying out an initiative to equip a dispensary in the village in addition to several other activities that serve society.
