Serbia renews his country’s refusal to participate in Western sanctions against Russia

Belgrade (ST): Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today renewed his country’s refusal to participate in Western sanctions against Russia, stressing that these santions are a double-edged sword.

Vucic was quoted as saying by TASS news agency in a television interview: “Belgrade’s refusal to join Western sanctions against Moscow stems from the independence of the Serbian decision”, stressing that these sanctions are a double-edged sword, and the West and the whole world will feel their consequences during the coming winter.

Vucic pointed out that the pressure on Serbia is expected to intensify due to the problems in Kosovo and Metohija and due to Belgrade’s refusal to join the Western sanctions against Russia.

Vucic confirmed last October that his country would not impose sanctions on Russia.
