Mia discusses with Al-Ma’awali ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between Syria and Oman

The Speaker of the Omani Shura Council, Khalid bin Hilal bin Nasser Al-Ma’awali, discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Oman, Dr. Idris Mia, ways to enhance cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, especially parliamentary ones.

During the meeting today, Al-Ma’awali renewed his country’s keen and supportive stances for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

For his part, Ambassador Mia stressed the importance of strengthening the Syrian-Omani parliamentary relations, in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. 

The meeting was attended by the Counselor at the embassy, Fatouh Qudsia, and from the Omani side, Rashid Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Office of the Speaker of the Council, Abdullah Al-Saadi, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, and Sumaya Al-Amriya, Head of the Bilateral Relations Department in the Council.
