Russia, Uzbekistan to enhance bilateral cooperation

Moscow, (ST) –  Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a telephone conversation on Wednesday, the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of energy.

“During the call, it was confirmed that the mutual endeavor to strengthen alliance relations and strategic partnership between Russia and Uzbekistan, increase trade exchange and expand beneficial cooperation in various fields, including energy,” Novosti news agency quoted the Kremlin press office as saying in a statement.

Yesterday, President Putin had a phone call with his Kazakh counterpart Qasim Jomart Tokayev during which they discussed issues of practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including energy and fuel.
