Security Council will hold an emergency session tomorrow to discuss the Israeli occupation’s violations in occupied Palestine

New York, (ST) – The Permanent Representative of Palestine to the United Nations Riyad Mansour has announced that the UN Security Council will hold an emergency session tomorrow, Thursday, to discuss the violations of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, their land and sanctities, especially in the occupied city of  Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

WAFA News Agency quoted Mansour as saying on Wednesday that the session will discuss Israeli violations in Al-Quds, especially in the wake of the Israeli occupation government minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday.

Mansour pointed to the importance of uniting the international community in condemning and rejecting the practices of the occupation and its continuous violations against the Palestinians.

“These violations are represented in executions, premeditated and arbitrary killings, the seizure of Palestinian lands and attacks on Islamic and Christian sanctities”, he added.

This comes after Mansour, in three identical letters he sent this morning to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council, and the President of the UN General Assembly,  called on the international community and the Security Council, to take international action to stop the occupation’s terrorism against the Palestinian people, their land and their sanctities.

He pointed out that the storming of the settlers, led by Minister Ben Gvir, in the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards constitutes a grave violation of international law and the existing legal and historical situation in it.
