Syria strongly condemns Israeli settlers and officials’ storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Damascus, (ST) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the acts of storming into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli settlers and officials under the protection of the occupation forces.

The ministry said in a statement on Wednesday that these provocative practices are part of the systematic policy of this occupation to attack Palestinian holy places, control them and obliterate their identity.

The ministry added that the Israeli occupation entity and the countries that support it bear full responsibility for this escalation and its repercussions.

“Syria calls on the United Nations to condemn these violations and work to stop them and ensure that they are not repeated. It also calls for implementing international legitimacy resolutions on the occupied Palestinian territories, especially occupied Al-Quds,” the ministry clarified, affirming Syria’s support for the Palestinian people’s struggle to liberate their land, restore their rights and protect their sanctities.
