(The Red Freedom), a lyrical operetta highlights the heroic epics of the Syrian Arab Army

Damascus(ST): From the center of Damascus, Al-Fayhaa, the voices of loyalty to the love of Syria resounded, which wrote a new epic of giving, sacrifice and dignity, through the lyrical operetta “The Red Freedom”, which was hosted on the stage of the opera theater in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The operetta gathered melody and word in a space of peace, and formed a wide range of heroic vocabulary through patriotic songs that engraved the path of eternity in the memory of the Arabs. It was performed by the artists Moein Sharif, Linda Bitar and Shadi Jamil, to the rhythm of the orchestra led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah.

The opera comes to commemorate the honorable martyrs of Syria whose pure blood illuminated the path to victory, the preservation of national sovereignty and the defeat of terrorism from its land, and an affirmation of the deep roots extending since the dawn of history and the strong ties of relationship between the peoples of the resistance despite all the offensive practices to change the civilizational and historical face of the Arab region.

During the evening, the band presented a group of patriotic songs, including  “Fire your fire, do not be merciful” and “Your flags are high, Syria”, and fulfilled the creative will of the musicians by completing a high-level artwork, which was widely welcomed and received by the audience with warm applause.

The ceremony concluded with a lyrical operetta called “The Red Freedom”, signed by the great Lebanese poet Nizar Francis, composed by Syrian musician Taher Mamelli and directed by the Dean of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, Dr. Tamer Al-Arbeed. It was performed for the first time on the stage of the Damascus Opera.
