Hasakah, (ST) – During the past year, the modernized health center “the Pearl” in the center of the city of Hasakah, provided 173,086 free health services to patients from all regions of the governorate.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Dr. Issa Khalaf, Director of Hasakah Health, stated that the modernized health center is witnessing a great turnout, as it covers large areas of the governorate, after the National Hospital went out of service and was seized by the “SDF” militia associated with the American occupation. He pointed out that the free health services provided included those admitted to pediatric, internal, laboratory analysis, radiology, dental and incubators departments.
Khalaf said that the Directorate is working to expand the modernized health center through cooperation with Al-Yamamah Charitable Institutions, which have rented two additional floors within the medical center to be rehabilitated as operating rooms, delivery rooms and intensive care. In this case the entire building will be invested as a temporary hospital until the return of the National Hospital in Hasakah to service.
