MOSCOW-The Russian government has approved extending the long-term agreement with Kazakhstan on transit of Russian oil to China.
The relevant instruction on signing a protocol to make changes to the agreement between the parties has been published on the official Internet portal for legal information, Interfax News Agency reported.
The agreement, which has been extended until January 1, 2034, stipulates the transport of Russian oil to China through Kazakhstan via the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline at up to 10 million tonnes per year.
