Lavrov: Kiev authorities are not ready for dialogue

Moscow (ST): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that the current Ukrainian politicians are unable to negotiate, because most of them clearly suffer from (Russophobia).

Lavrov said in an interview with Sputnik today: that his country will not talk to any party on the basis of the “peace formula” put forward by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, adding: “It is clear that Kiev is not ready for dialogue. The “peace formula” put forward by Zelensky based on the withdrawal of our forces from the Donbas, Crimea, Zaporozhye and Kherson, the payment of compensation and the recognition of international courts is just an illusions, and we will not talk to any party under these conditions.

Lavrov continued: “Immediately after the start of the special military operation, Zelensky asked to sit at the negotiating table. We did not refuse, and we agreed to meet with his representatives. Several rounds of negotiations were held and it was possible to reach agreements acceptable to both parties. However, the negotiation process that began last February showed Zelensky’s complete lack of independence in making important decisions, and already last April at the request of the West, he stopped the negotiations and sharply hardened his position.

Zakharova: Kiev’s Initiative To Hold A Peace Summit At The United Nations Is A Ploy By Washington

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the Kiev regime’s initiative to hold a “peace summit” at the United Nations headquarters a crazy idea and a public relations trick on the part of the United States.

Zakharova said in a press conference today: “The talk about holding the so-called “peace summit” on February 24, the anniversary of the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine at the United Nations headquarters, which will contribute, according to the plan of the Kiev leaders, to the implementation of the so-called “peace formula,” the Ukrainian President  Zelensky had put forward, according to Western dictates, is nothing but a crazy idea and another trick on the part of Washington, which has recently been trying to present the Kiev regime in the image of a peacemaker.
