The “Louis Inn” hotel was inaugurated today in the Al-Hamidiyeh neighborhood in the old city of Homs, as the first facility of its kind in the region that bears a heritage character.
Malak Abbas, Director of Homs Tourism stressed the importance of the inauguration of this hotel, which is located within an old, heritage urban fabric that has been preserved by the investor through the design of the hotel building. She stressed that Homs Tourism Directorate provides all support and facilities to investors and has several projects proposed in this regard, especially after the issuance of Decree. No. 13 of 2022, which provided support for economic activities in order to revive ancient cities.
In turn, Moataz Louis, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louis Hospitality Services Company, which invested in the hotel, pointed out the peculiarity of this building in terms of its location within an archaeological area, where a group of Homs artists painted on its walls paintings of historical female figures from this governorate, considering that the hotel will be one of the tourist attractions in the city as the hotel supports the tourism sector and provides job opportunities for young people.
Sami Lewis, general manager of the hotel, stated that the hotel building comprises three floors and eight rooms with 16 beds, in addition to a restaurant with 60 chairs, pointing out that the hotel will play an important role in supporting tourism in archaeological sites.
The opening of the hotel was attended by Engineer Namir Makhlouf, Governor of Homs, Muhammad Khaddour, Chairman of the Central Region Tourism Chamber, Engineer Abdullah Al-Bawab, Chairman of the City Council of Homs, and a crowd of those concerned with the tourism and hotel industry, as well as economic, social and religious figures.
