President al-Assad congratulates the Christian communities on Christmas

On December 25thPresident Bashar al -Assad congratulated the Christian denominations on the occasion of Christmas and offered congratulations to the heads of Christian denominations in the name of his sovereignty, Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam.

Minister Azzam conveyed the congratulations of President Al -Assad to the Patriarch of Antioch and the rest of the East of the Greek Orthodox, the Patriarch John X, and to His Holiness, Patriarch of Antioch, the rest of the East, the Supreme President of the Syriac Orthodox Church in the world, Patriarch Mar Ignatius, Aphram II,

Minister Azzam also conveyed the congratulations of President Al -Assad to the to the Patriarch of Antioch, and the rest of the East of the Romans of the Royal Catholics, to the Syriac Catholics, Bishop Mar John Jihad Battahand to the head of the Archbishop of Damascus for Armenian Catholics, Bishop Joseph Arnaouti.

Minister Azzam conveyed the congratulations of President Al -Assad to the President of the Evangelical Synod in Syria and Lebanon, the spiritual head of the National Evangelical Church in Damascus, the priest Boutros Zaour, the head of the Archbishops of the Maronite Diocese of Damascus, Bishop Samir Nassar, and to the head of the Latin sect in Damascus Father Firas Lotfi and to the Vice President of the Chaldean community in Syria, Monsignor Antoine Ghazi.

In turn, the patriarchs, bishops, and fathers expressed to Minister Azzam, their good wishes, their thanks and appreciation to President Assad for his generous gesture and the congratulations
