Citizens in Deir Ezzor countryside continued for the fourth consecutive day with their protests against the aggressive practices of the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) militia towards them, calling for expelling this militia from their areas.
Local sources told a SANA reporter that the resdients in the towns of Al-Kiber and Al-Kasra took to the streets on Saturday in protect against the SDF militia. The protestors closed the roads by burning tires and chanted slogans against the SDF militia and the leader of the so-called “Deir Ezzor military council”.
The protests were staged on the backdrop of raping and murdering two displaced women several days ago in one of these towns by an armed group that has links to the council’s leader and to his relatives and companions, the sources clarified.
Since December 21st, several villages in Deir Ezzor western countryside have witnessed continuous protests against the SDF militia’s crimes and aggressive practices towards the locals.
