(The Reading Platform in Japanese) an event organized by the Japan Center for Academic Cooperation at the University of Aleppo
Aleppo (ST): Within the framework of the academic agreement between the Universities of Aleppo and Tokyo for Foreign Studies, the Japanese Center for Academic Cooperation at the University of Aleppo, in cooperation with the Department of Arabic Studies at the University of Tokyo for Foreign Studies, organized an event entitled (The Reading Platform in Japanese).
Dr. Abd al-Ilah Nawolo, head of the Japanese Center for Academic Cooperation at the University of Aleppo, explained that this event is a step in parallel to the Arabic reading competition that was held at the University of Tokyo.
Dr. Nawolo praised the efforts made by the Syrian and Japanese sides, which resulted in the success of the scientific cooperation agreement with the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
For his part, Dr. Aoyama Hiroyuki, Academic Coordinator of Arab Studies at the University of Tokyo, stated that the platform’s goal for the University of Tokyo is to activate cooperation between the two universities and to contribute to deepening the cultural relationship between the Syrian and Japanese peoples.
In her turn, Dr. Lamis Harbly, Vice President of the University of Aleppo for Scientific Affairs, explained that the event comes within the program of various scientific events that are held at the University of Aleppo in cooperation with the University of Tokyo, Department of Arabic Language, and aims to encourage students from various scientific and literary specializations to learn the Japanese language to exchange reading.
