Rehabilitation of 32 Bakeries damaged by Terrorism in Aleppo

Aleppo (ST) – Since the liberation of Aleppo from terrorism in 2016, the Syrian Establishment for Bakeries has rehabilitated 32 bakeries with 42 production lines and a daily production capacity of 422 tons of bread.

The director of the branch of the Syrian Establishment for Bakeries in Aleppo, Eng. Jamil Shashaa, said in a statement that during 2022, two bakeries were opened, one in Tal Hadya town in Aleppo southern countryside, and the other in the Ramouseh neighborhood, west of Aleppo, with a daily production capacity of 12 tons of bread to serve citizens in these areas.

He indicated that there is a plan to expand Al-Amiri bakery in Al-Sakhour neighborhood, which operates with two production lines and a production capacity of 12 tons of bread per day. The plan includes establishing a third production line so that the full production capacity of the bakery reaches 36 tons per day.

The bakery of Deir Jamal town, northwest of Aleppo, has also been rehabilitated, and work is underway to rehabilitate the automated lines of the bakery of Fajdan town in the southern countryside.

He pointed out that work is also underway to rehabilitate the bakery in the city of Hanano which was destroyed by terrorism. Preparations are also underway to rehabilitate Al-Razi Bakery, whose production lines have become old. In addition, studies are being prepared to expand a number of bakeries in the countryside and the city.

The head of the technical department in the General Establishment for Bakeries, Aleppo branch, Eng. Mahmoud Ahmed, stated that after the liberation of the neighborhood from terrorism, rehabilitation and restoration operations for the infrastructure of Qadi Askar bakery were launched and two production lines with a daily production capacity of 24 tons were installed to serve the citizens of the region.
