Marking Christmas Day, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Hall of Aleppo and Alexandretta and their Dependences hosted the Christmas fair which targeted 2,000 beneficiaries through distributing clothes, shoes and winter clothing to a number of families in need and people with disabilities.
The Christmas fair , which is organized by the Orthodox Youth Movement for Social Service , is the eighth of its kind, according to the Christmas fair’s supervisor Hanan Bandali.
She indicated that the fair aims to promote the concept of social care by providing clothes, shoes, and what the family needs during the winter season by delivering donations to those who are in need through the volunteer committees of the youth movement.
Catherine Shammas, a member of the Youth Movement, told SANA correspondent about the mechanism of meeting the visitors’ needs of clothes and Christmas supplies.
A number of visitors to the fair noted the importance of these initiatives and the facilities provided to obtain what they need for winter clothing, especially with the approach of Christmas.
