Iran: America has arrogantly and hypocritically violated UN legal tracks

Tehran (ST): Amir Saeed Erwani, Iran’s ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations confirmed that America has violated the legal tracks with unilateral dictatorship, bullying and hypocrisy by illegally terminating Iran’s membership in the United Nations Commission on Women.

Erwani said during a conference of foreign ministers of the member states of the Group of 77 and China: “If we are really looking for a solution to global crises, we must stand against such unilateral and illegal measures, otherwise we will all, sooner or later, face the disastrous consequences of such an approach”, considering that the most prominent of the current crises in the world is the danger of adopting a unilateral approach to multilateral issues.

Erwani pointed out that the Group of 77 is the largest intergovernmental alliance of developing countries and a tool for providing collective interests and improving the joint negotiating capacity of these countries on major international economic issues in the United Nations system, pointing to the need for the group to make maximum use of the capabilities of relevant international forums to promote the interests and the rights of developing countries and defending them in various economic, developmental and international fields.
