Army regains security to Slam Gharbi village in Hama

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The army’s anti-terrorism operations continued in a number of provinces.

In this regard,a military source stated that the army units restored security and stability to Slam Gharbi village in Hama eastern countryside after the elimination of the last terrorists’ gatherings and dens.

In Homs, unit of the armed forces dismantled 16 explosive devices, weighing between 15-200 kg planted by terrorists on Palmyra-Damascus Highway near al-Barouda area.

Scores of terrorists were also wiped out in the neighborhoods of al-Qusour, al-Qarabees, Bab Hud and al-Warsheh in Homs city. And in the areas of Talas in al-houla, al-Farhanyeh and Tal al-Sanasel in al-Rastan and in Talbeseh.

In Aleppo, the army units clashed with armed terrorist groups that tried to attack Aleppo Central Prison and the Thermal Plant in Aleppo and killed and injured all of the assailants.

A military source told SANA that “the army also killed and injured scores of terrorists in the areas of al-Sfaira, al-Jadeda and Kweris and destroyed terrorists’ weaponry and ammunition near Rasm al-Abboud Airport and Aleppo southern entrance,”a military source told the official news agency.

In Damascus countryside,A military source said that the army units killed all members of a number of armed terrorist groups including non-Syrians and destroyed weapons and ammunition loaded in cars in Rima farms, Interceptor street and al-Saqi area northeast al-Nabek and in Daraya.
