People’s Assembly: People in occupied Syrian Golan an example to follow in adherence to the Syrian national identity

Damascus, (ST) –  The People’s Assembly (PA) on Wednesday held a session marking the 41st Anniversay of the void decision of the Israeli occupation entity to annex the occupied Syrian Golan.

In a speech, the PA Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh stressed that despite the passage of 41 years since the issuance of the void Israeli annexation decision, the steadfast people in the occupied Golan continue to affirm that the Golan will remain Syrian in passion, identity, and belonging, and will comtinue to be an integral part of the Syrian Arab land.

“They expressed their adherence to and pride in their Syrian national identity through their continuous resistance against the entity’s criminal practices towards them”, he added.

Sabbagh pointed to the continuous attempts of the occupation to impose its laws, teach its curricula and dictate its will with the aim of Judaizing the occupied Golan and Zionizing it, and to implement its settlement projects.

He added that our people in the occupied Golan every day affirm their steadfastness in the face of the barbarism of the usurping Israeli entity, their rejection of its decisions and aggressive practices, and their continuous struggle until the occupied Golan  is completely liberated and restored to the homeland, Syria.

Sabbagh saluted the steadfast people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan as they are confronting the hatred of the usurping Zionist enemy with determination and unyielding will.

For their part, members of the Assembly indicated that the steadfastness of the people of the occupied Golan in the face of the occupying entity made the annexation decision meaningless and ineffective, as they rejected the decision and always affirmed their belongingness to their homeland, Syria.

The people in Golan also affirmed their adherence to the national identity, and their rejection of all decisions of the occupying entity, renewing their determination to continue the resistance until they achieve complete victory and liberate the entire Golan, the MPs added.

On the occasion of the fifty-eighth anniversary of the founding of the General Union of farmers in Syria, Sabbagh extended congratulations and blessings to the Union, its cadres and the Syrian farmers, hoping that the coming days will bring goodness, growth and prosperity to the Syrian people.

In turn, Member of the People’s Assembly, Ahmed Saleh Al-Ibrahim, the Head of the General Union of Farmers, affirmed that Farmers’ Day represents a distinguished occasion in the history of farmers’ struggle against the oppression of the colonialism.
