Syria, Sultanate of Oman to enhance relations in the field of culture

Muscat, (ST) – The Syrian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Idris Mia, discussed with the Undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, Saeed bin Sultan Al-Busaidi, the reality of the existing cooperation between the two countries in the cultural field, especially with regard to restoring the damage to the Syrian antiquities as a result of the attacks of terrorist organizations.

Ambassador Mia expressed Syria’s gratitude for the assistance provided by the brothers in the Sultanate in this field, stressing the keenness of the Syrian Ministry of Culture to strengthen cooperation relations between the two countries.

For his part, Al-Busaidi affirmed Oman’s determination to continue providing assistance to Syria in the field of restoration and preservation of antiquities, because this contributes to the preservation and protection of human heritage in general.
